Founding Partner
Matías holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School (New York) and a law degree from Universidad de los Andes (Santiago, Chile).
Throughout his career, he has specialized in capital markets, financial regulation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, fintech and venture capital. Before founding Finmark Legal Advisors in 2023, Matías gained experience at the law firms CMS Carey & Allende and Dalgalarrando. He also led teams at Bci and Bice banks, where he was responsible for strengthening and positioning the legal department, driving and managing recognized transformation and improvement initiatives.
Matías has also been a prominent voice in media outlets such as Economía y Negocios of El Mercurio, Radio Duna and the Institute of Directors of Chile, where he has shared his insights on current legal issues that directly impact corporate governance and the financial market. From insider trading and conflict of interest management to new fintech regulations, Matías has consistently provided a clear and well-informed perspective on each of these topics.
